It's About Time - They Say

Hey all! It seems that it was a while since I posted here. And you would be right.
I'm still writing, plus doing the life thing, plus trying to figure things out. I should have posted something on New Year's about what I was going to be doing, but did not. I think the lead up to Christmas and all that goes with that has a let down, making January difficult. And now January is almost over. Boy, where did the time go? Anyway, back to writing, I continue on. I'm two-thirds my first draft of the second book of the Zytainium series. As I was writing it, and wondering where the story should go, it occurred to me that, I could end the story, or tie it off with a just book 2. If I take it in the direction I intended, then a third part of the series would be required. I went with the latter. The story felt right as it went along to naturally (to me anyway) go in that direction. Each part of the story is at least 100,000 words. Now the story could go further, but for now, that is the direction. At the same time, I have decided to write a short story about my partner's first new truck purchase. To me, it's a great story that needs telling. While that project is started, I started another full-length novel. Why you ask? Well I was feeling in a down mood and was having difficulty in writing my two other works. So I thought, why not write a dark fantasy genre book. And a third project was born. It’s something I wanted to do, so I started it. I'm not sure what the rules are when writing multiple works are and I'm also sure there are lots of opinions on the subject. I started writing one novel at a time and now, at least for the time being, am going to try this experiment. I'll see where it goes. I know my personality needs to take a break from the characters of a story and resurrect characters from another entirely different story. Or something comes to me about where a story needs to go that I was thinking about and now’s the time. Or perhaps, I'm just a bit crazy!
What ever floats your boat, I suppose. In the meantime, I'm thinking of starting a fourth project, another story idea that I have had for a few months. If I begin the story, I know it will get finished. Why, simply because the story has begun and has taken on a life of its own. That is all for now sport fans.
